Drama Club
DESCRIPTION
Founded in the year 2009, Drama club produced its very first theatrical production, And Then There Were None, a murder mystery by Agatha Christie, that many spectators enjoyed, commenting that it was a "must see" and the garnered standing ovation from the crowd. Of course, the production would not have been a success without the three sponsors that created the club--and its very first play:Ms.Perdue and Ms.Ashkenes, both English Departent techers, and Ms.Sullivan, a Mathematics Department teacher.
In its second year, Drama Club's loyal and dedicated members appointed four officers: Hira Safdar, second year President, devotes her after school Tuesdays for the Officer's meeting along with Makeda Mack, Vice President, Ely Orquiza, Secretary, and Dana Guanalo, Treasurer. These four officers meet up to plan ahead our Drama Club events and the general meetings that take place on Mondays at lunch in the school's auditorium.
This year,Drama club is holding auditions on the tuesday, December 8th at 12:50pm in the auditorium after-school. the play, You Can't Take It With You by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart, is a comedy about a bizarre family in Ner York. There are more than 15 different roles and the play production will premiere on April 13th,14th, and 15th.
